An Additional Point on the Graph From Kevin

Kevin adds on the graph below:

“As seen above, the vertical axis measures the month-to-month change in private sector jobs; the horizontal axis runs from 2006 to the present (August 2011). One thing that’s interesting is that the private sector created jobs for much of 2010/2011 at a rate roughly on par with that in 2006. But naturally, unemployment is now much higher (over 9%)  than in 2006 (between 4% and 5%), thanks to that gaping crater of interim job losses.”
